For more than fifty years, Dr. Bert Bradford served his community and his patients.  Even after he stopped performing surgery, he could be found visiting patients in the hospital and helping thousands of individuals navigate the complex health care waters. It is truly because of Dr. Bradford that many understand the role of CAMC in our community.  He was a visionary whose commitment to CAMC, Charleston and West Virginia was evident throughout his life.

In 1976 after retiring from his surgical practice, Dr. Bradford lead the newly formed CAMC Foundation.  Dr. Bradford continued to serve the foundation until his death in 2000. The Bradford Society was created to honor Bert Bradford, MD

The Bradford Society, the estate planning component of our development efforts, is a very important part of the CAMC Foundation. Receiving planned gifts are the result of long-term relationships and information sharing between our donors, their advisors and the CAMC Foundation professional staff.

The CAMC Foundation can be a beneficiary of a planned gift, such as real estate, stocks, or a gift annuity. If you are beginning your estate planning process, or making revisions to your plan, you might want to consider the CAMC Foundation as a charitable organization to be included in your plan.

If you are interested in making a planned gift to the Dr. Bert Bradford Society and would like to speak to one of our professional advisors or E. Gail Pitchford, President, CAMC Foundation, please feel free to contact us at  (304) 388-9860 or e-mail camcfoundation@camc.org

If you're interested in supporting health care in southern West Virginia, contact us by e-mail camcfoundation@camc.org, write to 3412 Staunton Ave., Charleston, WV 25304, call (304) 388-9860 or fax (304) 388-9861 or click the Donate Now button.
